Som Sig Bör III — Soffan is the third work from Series IV, the furniture series of the Studio Grön collection. A grey-white Gustavian settee upholstered in deep cobalt blue velvet holds three prinsesstårtor in a row — two pink sliced cakes revealing their layers, one whole green cake sitting quietly at the end.

The settee implies gathering. The three cakes imply guests, or an occasion, or the aftermath of one.

The beaded trim, the turned legs, the scroll arms — all rendered in the cool greywhite of Swedish Gustavian neoclassicism. The cobalt velvet is the same across every piece in this series, the thread that ties the furniture together.
